A Few Fresh Updates
Hi Everyone! I am so ready for some consistent Spring weather here in the South! One thing is for sure though, this time of year (especially in the South) is anything BUT consistent. It goes from being 80 degrees one day to being 40 degrees the next. Talk about being hormonal! Sadly, there are times when I can definitely relate.
Anyway, despite how it may or may not feel like Spring outside, I decided that it was time for some fresh updates around the house. Usually, once one thing gets moved around, the brain juices start flowing and I get inspired! Well, this happened yesterday. I wanted to change around the decor on one of my side tables and incorporate a new picture I had ordered online and everything kind of spiraled from there.
This is the lovely vignette that started all of the redecorating endeavors. I ordered this vintage butterfly print from a company that I found through Instagram (you can purchase one here). Doesn’t it just scream Spring? Their stuff is so neat! It’s actually a DIY project. They send you the vintage print, the wooden dowels, and the rope, and you put it together yourself. It took all of about 5 minutes! I decided it needed a little depth though, so I hung it on my old window that i already had hanging there. Love at first sight! So then I decided to go outside and cut some lovely, fresh branches from a tree in my yard (now that’s about as fresh as you can get).
Then I was inspired to change around the other side table in my living room. One of my favorite ways to add freshness to an area is to use plants! This corner needed a little green in it’s life, so that’s just what it got. (This darling metal table was purchased here)
Then, of course, I had to do some Spring sprucing in the dining room. All it really needed was some fresh flowers. Nothing says Spring to me like fresh flowers.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this post! It’s amazing what a few fresh changes will do. You don’t have to do much for it to make a big impact. I just love how Spring demands change. Cleaning out, purging, redecorating, planting and watching new life peak through after a long winter. Life is just this way. Spring comes around the corner with fresh air to breathe in and glimpses of hope after those long, dark winters have worn us down. I truly believe God gave us the season of Spring to remind us that there is always hope! There’s always a light at the end of the tunnel!
As always, THANK YOU so much for stopping by! There’s lots of good stuff coming soon, so stay tuned!
