My Most Recent Transformation

Hey friends! Whew! Has it been a whirlwind the past couple of weeks! I’m just now getting a chance to breathe and give you guys an update of my most recent transformation!

My sweet daughter’s birthday party was a couple of weekends ago, so I spent the entire week that week getting ready for that! Which, it turned out absolutely perfect and I will be blogging about that later in the week! Then, last week, I spent most of the week at my parents house surrounded by family! It was pure bliss!

In the midst of all the busyness, I still managed to find a fixer upper piece of furniture and squeezed in the time to give it a new paint job. And, I must say, it’s one of my favorite pieces yet! I had a friend that was wanting to get rid of it and offered it to me first before posting it on one of our local resale pages. Well, when I saw it, I knew it was for me! It needed a little TLC, but that’s the fun part!

Can’t you just see the potential?! Initially, I was scared of the brass railing that went around the top. I honestly didn’t know what to do with it. But after I painted it, it’s one of my favorite things about the entire piece now! It adds so much character!

Show-stopping huh? I chose to use the Waverly brand of chalk paint in Ivory. I like their color of ivory because it doesn’t have any yellow undertones. I’ve used other off white colored chalk paints before with yellow undertones and they end up yellowing over time. This one has no trace of yellow in it!

I had been on the hunt for a statement piece like this for this spot in my living room for a long time. This is the first thing people see when they walk in my home, and I definitely think this makes the statement that I was wanting!

I’m still trying to figure out how to hide the lamp cords, but for now, they are down in my old churns. I love how the piece brightens up this entire area and allows the black lamp shades to pop even more (you can read about those here).

Thanks for visiting and allowing me to share some of my projects with you! It’s a fun hobby for me, so for me to be able to share it is a blessing. I hope you have an amazing day! And God bless!
